CAS and a Funky Fold

Hello everyone! This card was made for the SNSDC62 challenge to make a "fun fold" card. I made another "funky fold" card with this SNSS Rhubarb digi image. I pulled out some scraps from my bin along with a kraft card stock base, and added a computer generated sentiment. Don't you just love that little purple popsicle brad?! I got that at the scrap book expo I went to yesterday and thought it was adorable - even if it's the wrong color ;)

This was made for the CAS-ual Friday's CFC61 challenge to use "strips of color or pattern for a CAS card. Check! It's also for the very first CASology challenge #1 which I just discovered! Their challenge gives you one word, and you're to create something CAS drawing inspiration from that single word. The word for this week's challenge is "sun." I chose the colors of the sun, along with a cute sun eyelet accent, and even added a sun-related sentiment by SNSS. Check!  I used a few scrap strips of yellow dsp to create the panel & matted with black. The flourish is by Cheery Lynn, and I added a black brad to the center of the eyelet just for fun.
I will hopefully be returning to play this new challenge again soon, because I'm really learning to enjoy making CAS cards more and more these days! I enjoyed it so much, I made a 2nd card similar to this one in shades of green.

This panel of dsp strips was embossed with the SU fancy fan ef, and the sentiment is from a Hero Arts stamp set I recently won from SimonSaysStamp! It's not a stamp set sold in stores unfortunately, but I just love that sentiment and had to make a card! The flower was done with a Carl punch, and a Punch-a-Bunch smaller punch, and the Cheery Lynn flourish was done with Green Galore card stock.

Thanks for stopping by and I wish you all a wonderful weekend!!

Carol
