The challenge over at
Shopping Our Stash #55 this week is to use "double the ribbon or twine" on your cards. I pulled my over-flowing jar of ribbon snippets out and layered them up behind the SB heart die cut on this card. I pulled pieces of similar colors and just adhered them to the back edges with double sticky tape, and then created the "frame" by die cutting 2 heart shapes, one inside the other. I added 3 turquoise pearls from
Pizzazz Aplenty for a little interest, and added a sentiment from the
SNSS Christmas Tags set. This went together very quickly, and I'm so glad to be using up those snippets of ribbon I can never bear to throw away. I'll be making more of these and using up that stash of ribbon in no time!

And here is the card I came up with. Whenever I see shells, I think of the beach, so I pulled out this
SNSS Beach Bum Cocoa stamp and went to work. I colored the image with Copics, and cut it using a SB labels 25 die. I added some mesh and mini brads on a piece of cool caribbean card stock. The background is a piece of (r) SU! dsp.
The sun is finally shining today, and it's time to get this day started! I hope yours is fabulous, and thanks for spending a few minutes of your day with me!

Carol, two more winners. I love how you made the ribbon heart and frames it. Thanks for another great tip. Your Cocoa card is just sweet as can be. Your "netting" and brads are just perfect for this image. Have a great day. We didn't get the sun yet. Maybe tomorrow.
