OWH Sketch #125 Done With Dynamic Duos

I made this card using the sketch challenge #125 from the Stars and Stamps blog, and also the Dynamic Duos DD#6 colors to create it. Let me correct myself there - I used the closest colors I had on hand for the DD challenge because I didn't have either of the required colors. I substituted blushing bride and light gray.
When I saw Sandy's post this morning, she used her alphabet stickers and said she's overrun with them and will be using them on her cards all week. I thought some alpha letters would work for those little squares on the bottom of the sketch, but I just sent all my alpha stickers to the grandkids a couple weeks ago. I went searching into that drawer of stamping goodies to find something else to put into these squares & found 2 huge packs of rubons that I seldom ever use (hate 'em!). I saw all those dresses and shoes and decided to use them for my card. Everything you see except the sentiment is a rubon. The sentiment is by HA and it just seemed to work perfectly with the dresses, shoes, and purse. I added a piece of flawed gray ribbon underneath the horizontal border that I bought for just pennies a while ago. The entire roll has a flaw along one edge, so I just hid that edge beneath the cardstock and it gave me just enough contrast to make me happy.
That's going to do it for me today - the race is coming on soon, and it's being held in my home state today, so I'll be tuned in for that :)

Have a fabulous Sunday!

Carol

The sentiment is perfect!!! And boy that's a LOT of rubbing... I have some that I've enjoyed adding to cards, but they can be stubborn on occasion!

Carol,
What a great card. I love how you used the same sketch and I did for the samples and your card look totally different.
I don't care for rubons too but this looks great.

Great card, Carol.....I am always in love with pink and grey. I thought Tony was going to pull a fast one at the end, but it was his old car that was sneaky! Did you know I was one of the usherette's at the very first Pocono race? Okay, now I feel really old!

Beautiful card, Carol. I know what you mean about 'rubons', but these look oh so chic. I love the touch of ribbon showing the good side. Very clever!
And thank you SO MUCH for the beautiful card that you sent my way. It is amazing.. LOVE the sketch and the row of sweet little flowers that follow the curve. So glad you got your goodies. :)

I really like the pink and gray on this card....(and of course, you know how I feel about pink! smile) This card is so "fashionable" and adorable, so very nicely done!

This is a wonderful feminine card and I know what you mean about rub ons. Sometimes, I have had them a long time and they don't work so well...been known to ruin a card or two with them. I haven't tried one in a long time, though.
