For my BIL'S Birthday

My BIL will be celebrating his birthday this weekend, and he used to train horses, so I always make him a card with a horse theme. I stamped this Inkadinkado image on black with versamark and embossed it with gold ep, then cut it out using a SB labels 18. The kraft panel was stamped with galloping horses from a MFP stamp set in memento ink (stamped off) but the photo didn't capture the detail unfortunately. I added a clockworks embossed background with a TH piece of hardware added to one of the clocks. The sentiment is by SNSS.

My BIL is in his 70's, and after seeing this completed card, I thought perhaps I should have done something else. I'm happy with the overall look, but this card gave me the feeling of galloping through time! That's really not appropriate for someone in their 70's now is it?!! It was unintentional, as I just put some of my favorite masculine elements together and made a card. I can only hope he doesn't see what I see in the finished card! LOL Sometimes these cards take on a mind of their own and I have nothing to do with it!

Have a fantastic day and thanks for stopping by!

Carol

Why are we so hard on ourselves? He is going to treasure this! I made the photo big and I can almost see the stamped off horses. It's awesome.

CA - this horse image is beautiful and your details are perfect!!! My miniture horse looks kind of like this when he is chasing the cows (only his legs are shorter).

I think your card is great, Carol. Most men don't get into the details like we do so I'm thinking he'll love this horse because training horses must have been something he loved very much. Probably won't think a thing about those timepieces except that he likes them.
