A New Challenge

I found a challenge that intrigued me simply because of the name, so I had to play along. It's called Shopping our Stash and I'm always looking for ways to use the abundance of supplies I have in my stash. This week their challenge #39 is "metal mania" to use metal on your card. I used a metal clip I've had in my stash for a long time, and I thought it was the perfect accent for this great Inkadinkado horse image. I created the background by doing the herringbone technique with BoBunny timepiece dsp, early espresso and cherry cobbler card stock. The image was stamped on crumb cake cardstock with Ranger vintage photo ink, sponged with antique linen ink, and edged with a brown marker before cutting with a Spellbinders labels eighteen die. The cherry cobbler mat was outlined with a white gel pen and hand cut. The metal tab has a snippet of early espresso ribbon from SU! For this one, I'll put the sentiment inside, because I think it would make a great birthday or father's day card.
Thanks for stopping by and I wish you a wonderful Wednesday!

Carol,
Amazing. I can't tell you how striking I feel this card is. I LOVE the papers you went with for this one. It's like they were made just for this image and your inks. Wonderful Card. I really have to take the time to try the herringbone technique. Enjoy your day.
