Catching up with the MWT's

I finally finished my card for last week's mid-week throwdown over at the Stars & Stamps blog. The challenge was to use the colors of blue, green and kraft. I made a quilt card from scraps and added a button with bakers twine in the center. Do you think the sentiment is bold enough?! I've had that stamp forever and this might be the first time I've actually used it!

And this card is for this week's Stars & Stamps MWT to make a card for Mother's Day. I've been working on Mother's day cards all week, but this one uses a free digi you can d/l from OWH to make your cards! I colored the image with Copics in a gradient style, and then added some spica pen accents to the darker shades of yellow. The background paper was embossed when I bought it, but it's old, so I have no idea who makes it. A black border, and a piece of ribbon and I've got another one for Mom!!
I think I'm now caught up with my challenges, so thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Carol

Carol, two more great cards from you. I like that big Hello on your first card and your quilt pattern is lovely. Great shades of blues and greens. You did that images on your second card proud. Wonderful coloring and I love the ribbon.

Fab, my friend! There is actually a challenge right now over at Moxie Fab to use navy blue in a cool way. I think your quilted star would be awesome. Love both, of course.

I really, really like the bold sentiment on the first card and admire the work you put into the beautiful quilted look. I also very much like how you used the "Mother" colored digi. Someone's Mom will be thrilled to receive this one :)

Great cards! The quilt card is a real winner with your color choices and the pattern. I like what you did with the digi. I think that I have some of that embossed paper too, but in a pale green color....hmmmm.

Carol,

It's amazing how these two cards are so different, yet each so pretty in its own way!

Have to ask about your bow-making secret. Any tips to share?
