Happy Wednesday!

Here's my card for this week's Sweet Stop sketch SSS128 found here. They're doing a blast from the past and using an older sketch for the challenge. I used a blast from the past from my stash by using wild wasabi and purely pomegranate cardstock. The image is by all night media, stamped in wasabi ink and touched up with a Tombow marker for the trunk. I dotted the tree using a matching Tombow marker and also did some faux stitching. The sentiment is from SNSS Christmas tags, and I used the same marker to add the dots. A few mini brads finished this simple card for my Christmas stash.
This is for the SC353 sketch challenge found here. This color combination still works for me and probably always will. I used a sizzix ef for the background, and a G studio stamp for the sentiment. All I had to do was add some ribbon, a bow, and a heart brad and this card was done in a flash!
Ok, the SUN is actually making an appearance in PA today, so I'm going to go out and run some errands. Have a great Wednesday and thanks for stopping by!

These ARE loveeeeely! (Honestly, your use of texture always astounds me!) THESE are fabulous! So glad you are getting treated to some sun today, as WE are getting some too! {We've had a bizarre early "November" thing going on - I'm totally confused by the weather!} One good thing about stange/winter weather - it makes for goooooood crafting! Enjoy your day! xoxo!

Carol, Both of your cards are beautiful. I love both of the ef in your first card. Probably my two favorites. Purley Pomegranate is also one of my favorite colors. I like the dots along with your sentiment. Your second card is simple and elegant all at the same time. Love that ribbon and the ef. Terrific sentiment.

Love both of these, Carol! The stitching you did around the tree frames it beautifully, such a great, homespun touch! And I love the embossed hearts on the 2nd card (you're always introducing me to embossing folders I think I "must have" lol!) Love the sentiment, just perfect, and the red, black and white color combo!
