Getting Sketchy

While the race has been in a rain delay all afternoon, I made a couple cards. This one is for the Sweet Stop Sketch SSS126. This week there's a spin on the sketch and it's "starstruck." There's a lot of room for interpretation, and although I didn't actually use any stars on my card, this little chickie dressed up in disguise for Halloween is a star in my eyes :) (cough cough!) I know - that's really a stretch, but I needed to make some Halloween cards for the grands :) I thought that big white circle looked too white against all the colors of the background, so I drew in tiny spiders all around the edge. The chick and her glasses were all colored with fluorescent Copics and I dotted the eyes with a white sharpie pen. The dots are stickers, and image and sentiment are from SU! Twick or Tweet.
This card is for the Stars & Stamps sketch challenge 87. I really burned myself out making so many challenge cards last week, so I haven't been keeping up with the daily challenges over there for about a week, but I always try to get the weekly sketch done. This one was easy peasy, so I played along and made a few cards with this design. I just used 2 different embossing folders, and 2 shades of teal, along with a matching sentiment and a brad.
OK, it's time to get dinner going, so I may be watching the race at midnight if they don't soon postpone it! LOL Thanks for stopping by and have a great evening!

Carol

I understand what you mean about being burned out by too many challenges! I think it's good to take a break and recharge. I adore that Halloween card - your choices of elements really coordinate well. Your sketch card is simply lovely. :) Thanks for sharing.

I've been a little burned out myself lately, maybe it's something in the air.....I can't believe you drew all those tiny spiders so meticulously! Nice job! And your sketch card is awesome, as always.

Great cards!! I really like the spiders you drew to help with the white circle, they look so good! I also really like the embossing on your "Happy Freezin' Season" card and the colors are so crisp and pretty. Love them both!!
