TLC 324 MrFixit

My card today is for the TLC324 challenge to create colored embossing. I love doing this technique and the resulting unique backgrounds you can create. For mine I used Memento Bahama Blue and Grape Jelly inks, stamping the top of Sizzix plaid embossing folder in a plaid pattern, then running through the Big Kick. I used a brand new Sweet'nSassy digi image and sentiment called Mr Fixit. I added a few brads, eyelets and some purple hemp and this card was done! I think it will make a cute father's day card for someone's own Mr Fixit :)
Have a fabulous Monday everyone, and thanks for stopping by!

Carol

Carol, This is my third attemp at leaving you a message tonight. don't know what my problem is. Anyway, I love this card and you do such a wonderfuly job when you use this technique with this ef. It looks so professional. Just the right amount of doo-dads on it and I also love the purple hemp. I just now (7:00PM) got into the craft room, so I don't know how much I will accomplish tonight. Enjoy your night.

Hi Carol! What a fantastic card for the carpenter type! It is so alive and uses these stamps in a really unique way. I love how they are all criss crossed and your vibrant colors. The grid on your paper is way cool! Not to mention my fav. colors!!! Your coloring is spectacular. I am so glad I popped over and looked at your blog. That is what I love most about comments...the community it brings to follow other people's blogs! Thanks again for your comment yesterday. They really mean alot to me. I hope you have a great day and I'll see your blog through the follow list. I see you are on Operation home...I just started with From Our Hearts. Aren't these organizations just SO heartful! I couldn't think of a more worthy way to create a card, with this type of LOVE in mind. Be well!!! Samara xox

this is a piece of eye candy! WOW. Love the technique you used with the embossing folder. I have always been so afraid to try that and I don't know why. It certainly came out wonderful for you.
