Catching up with OWH challenges

My card is for the Stars & Stamps midweek throwdown, and this week the theme is "Going Dotty." That means use polka dots, DP with dots, embossing with dots, or anything that includes some sort of dots. I made this card for OWH in primary colors, so that some youngster will enjoy it when a loved one sends it home to them. The kite images are from a new Sweet 'n Sassy stamp set called polka dot silhouettes. I used the SU! slit punch to create the "tails" on the kites, snipping a little piece from the centers. I used 2 Cuttlebug embossing folders for this - seeing spots and swiss dots. The sentiment is by Mark's Finest Papers. The card was made from scraps in my stash. Do you think this card qualifies for having enough dots?!?! LOL
This card is for Sunday's Stars & Stamps sketch challenge #59 found here. I flipped the sketch and added a panel on the right side that was done with an EK punch, along with some knotted gingham ribbon. The image is Love You Bethany Bunny by Sweet'nSassy stamps and it's colored with Copics and matted with scraps of embossed lavender and green. The DP is by DCWV that I've had forever!
Ok, I think I'm caught up for now!
Thanks so much for stopping by today - it's always nice to have company. Have a fabulous Wednesday!

Carol

I love this card. I really have to get that ric rac punch. This is two days in a row that I've been impressed with them on your cards. I really like that purple and green combo. I have been using it a lot also. You did a great coloring job. I think I got that stamp this week so I'll have to use it.

Carol, Your OWH card is GREAT. I'm sure some little one will be very happy to get this from some one away. I cannot believe you thought to use the SU punch and cut out the centesr for the kites. You are such a smart cookie. I'm going to have to make a list of all your little tricks so I can copy. LOL Yes, I think this card qualifies for the going dotty challenge. I got so busy making card I had in my head that I forgot to make a dotty card. I'll have to get something done tomorrow. Maybe you can row up here to Ma in your ark. hee hee

In my opinion, you can never have too many dots. I love them and I LOVE your card with the fun kites. Someone lucky child will be delighted to receive this card.

I was just admiring that wonderful paper that you said you've had forever. I love it, too. Carol, these are wonderfully sweet and fun cards.

Really cute, Carol! I love how you shifted the panel over to allow for the ribbon detail. Thanks for joining us in this week's OWH Stars & Stamps Sketch Challenge!
