Anyhoo......the midweek throwdown challenge is to create white on white cards with a pop of color. For my cards, I used the Fifth Avenue Floral stamp set from SU! and stamped the large rose image with versamark ink and heated it with gold embossing powder. I cut them out and popped them up on dimensionals. The leaves were created by taking a piece of scrap paper, embossing it with gold, folding in half, running through the paper crimper (pointed, folded side goes in first), then hand cutting ovals on the folded side. I embossed a piece of white cardstock and adhered it to the bottom, embossed the sentiments in gold, and added some white ribbon.
Here's a close-up of "missing you". I used a Tim Holtz texture fades embossing folder for this one and the sentiment was done with SU!'s so many sayings, also embossed in gold.
For this one, I used a Sizzix embossing folder, and the sentiment is from Mark's Finest Papers "Thankful Mums and Pumpkins", also embossed in gold. This design also makes great get-well and sympathy cards, and the gold touches really add some elegance to all the white space IMHO.Thanks for stopping by today and I wish you all a fabulous Friday!
