Home is Where the Heart Is

Happy Black Friday everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and loved ones. I know shoppers were out and about early this morning looking for bargains. Me? I'm too civilized & too old to participate in the madness, so I rarely leave the house on this day! I sure hope that lady made it to Target in time! What lady you ask? I'm talking about the commercial where the lady is in her pj's in bed, with alarm clocks strapped to her entire body, frantically humming Christmas Carols in anticipation of getting up in time at 4 am to get in on the black friday sales! That commercial cracked me up every time I saw it LOL
I originally made this card for OWH because I love the sentiment......but absentmindedly I added some glitter to the water, so it will now be given to my best friend who's a realtor and always sends cards to her clients. The background was embossed with a TH texture fades brick wall ef and lightly sponged with pumice stone ink. The digi image from digitaltuesday was colored with Copics and the sentiment (a dollar stamp from Michaels) was inked with markers before stamping. I added a tiny silver heart-shaped brad to the sentiment panel for the final touch.
Happy shopping and TGIF day!! Thanks for stopping by!

Carol

Carol, this will be perfect for your realtor friend and some lucky client will get to be fortunate enough to have this beautiful card. I do love the image...so peaceful and serene. And, that glitter for the water looks just great.
No shopping for me today but funny about the woman with alarm clocks strapped to her body. What a riot!
I'm off in a bit to a college football game. Have a good weekend.

HaHa Carol...I had to giggle at your comment on the Target commercial! It was just on TV here. LOL
Your card is wonderful and I especially love the image and sentiment you added. Nicely done and beautifully colored! Yes, home is where my heart is and it's telling me it wants to go homeeeeeee!
I'm right there with you on staying put today! I'm gonna do a bit of cleaning then hit my stamp room for some fun. It's very cold here so what better way to stay warm!
Have a great day & Happy Black Friday, sweetie!

Well Carol, I did get out and about for a bit today. I had to go get my free breakfast at Shady Maple! Stopped at L&L and she said to tell you ladies that she has the grand Spellbinders dies in and priced to sell. LOL! Me, I just went for cling mount this trip. Can't figure out how a Sweet and Sassy set jumped right into my hand! Glad you thought about the spritz on your card and that you have another home for this lovely.
