Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge #43 (FTTC#43)

Happy Tuesday everyone!! It's the end of the month, and that means it's time for another guest host on the Flourishes Timeless Tuesday #43 challenge and I've had the tremendous honor of being asked to do the hosting duties this week!! With the holidays rapidly approaching, I thought a great theme for this week's challenge would be to make a Christmas and/or Thank-you card. You can choose to make one or the other........or both! This will be a great way to build up your supply of those beautiful cards you'll be mailing out for the holidays!

I wasn't sure how the Basic Grey Indian Summer designer paper would look on a Christmas card, but I was pleasantly surprised and liked the result! I started off with a Burgundy Corduroy card stock base and decided to use the spruce image from the Forest of Trees set. I chose a piece of rose-colored dsp from the BG pack, and stamped the Basketweave image on it using Razzleberry ink. Directly on top of the basketweave, I stamped the tree image with Versamark and embossed it with winter wonderland embossing powder. I decided it still needed a little more, so I dabbed on a little glue and added some sparkly tinsel glitter. I cut the ovals of White, Burgundy and BG dsp with the Nestabilities petite/scalloped ovals. The background dsp is another piece from the BG Indian Summer pack. I wrapped a piece of Burgundy Bobbin ribbon around the card and made a small bow for the bottom. I decided to put the sentiment inside and just let the tree take the spotlight on the front of this card.

And now it's your turn! I hope you've found some inspiration here and we're all waiting to see what you create with this challenge!
Thanks for stopping by today. I wish you all a wonderful and blessed Thanksgiving!
Carol

This is gorgeous - I love the way you've used the Indian summer BG paper - I think it's sometimes good to use 'non-Christmas' papers x
