MMSC24 three days late!!

This card is coming 3 days after the challenge was posted, but it's taken me that long to come up with something! LOL I was about to skip this challenge, and then decided to try a little harder. The Midnight Madness Sketch challenge can be found here and this is for #24. My card strayed a little from the original sketch, but this was what I came up with. I love the BG Indian Summer dsp, and I thought the Inkadinkado image would go perfectly with it, but it just isn't working for me! I think the wc paper is too bright and I probably should have sponged it to tone it down. I colored it with Tombows and a wet brush and embossed the entire image afterward with clear ep. I used a Dusty Durango base and Crushed Curry accents on the corners. I used Nestabilities Petite Ovals for the main image and a Marvy scalloped oval punch for the smaller Durango panels underneath. I added some snippets of matching ribbon, some Topaz colored gemstones and finally finished this card, but I must admit my heart just isn't into this one. Ah well, we'll all have days like that I suppose.
Thanks for stopping by and have a terrific Friday..........the weekend is almost here!

Carol, you could have fooled me that your heart wasn't in this. The coloring is just fantastic...I also love the little ribbon accent as well. Sometimes I feel this way as well....and that is when I get the most views and comments on split coast and can't figure it out!!! LOL Beauty is in the eye of the beholder....an I am beholden one spectacular and lovely creation!!! Thanks for playing along with us at MMSC this week. We really appreciate it.

Carol, you are not alone! I struggled with my card for this week too but I think my mind just wasn't in it! Sometimes we don't get the feel for a sketch but then get over critical with the results!! Your card came out perfect and I wouldn't change a thing! I love your brilliant coloring and the dp was a good choice. All those fabulous Fall colors set off your cornucopia just perfectly! Well done!
Thanks so much for sticking with it and entering this week. Kudos to you!
