CTD #42

I was on the run for most of the day, but I finally found time to catch my breath and do the CTD #42 . This week the colors are turquoise, black and saffron. I'm out of saffron so I used the closest yellow I had. I needed to make a masculine birthday card so I pulled out my favorite "guy" set - Happiness is a Journey. I used a turquoise cardbase and matted all the yellows with black. The vertical panel was embossed with a Cuttlebug argyle embossing folder. The main panel was stamped with Versafine Onyx Black ink, and embossed with black ep. A few gold brads were added for accents on the smaller wheels. I originally stamped the sentiment on the turquoise, but I smeared it *sigh*. Ok, I've always been told there are no mistakes in stamping, so I went to my ticket punch and did the sentiment again. One ticket didn't cover the smear and it didn't look right without some black behind it, so I punched another and layered them at an angle. I was happier with this sentiment than the original one I accidentally smeared. Think about it for a minute........who rides a train without a ticket?? I think sometimes those accidents are just meant to be :)
Thanks for stopping by today and have yourself a great evening!

Great card! Great Men's card...The ticket idea really worked well on this card. My mother-in-law always used to say to me all the time..."Necessity is the Mother of Invention" So being inventive does really work! Thank you for the nice comments on my blog...Have a great week!
