CTD39, SC225

First of all, I'd like to offer my sincere congratulations to Heidi on the birth of her beautiful new granddaughter Avery! She's just perfect and so adorable, and her big sister seems to be in love with her too. Heidi, you take all the time you need to love that sweet little baby and do all the work that spring requires of you. We'll all be waiting for your return to the stamping world to see your next creation, and no! I do NOT own this blog now! LOL I know I'll miss your posts, but we'll all welcome you back with open arms when you find the time to stamp.
On to today's card. This is a double challenge for the CTD39, and the SCS SC225 sketch challenge. The sketch challenge was so interesting to me that I couldn't resist, and the CTD challenge was to use Real Red, Black and Barely Bananna. I knew I could make the red and black work, but I wasn't sure about adding the banana to the mix. I was pleasantly surprised once I began making the card because the colors actually worked well together and I liked the finished look! I decided to make a mother's day card since that special day is just around the corner.
Thanks for stopping by today and have a great day........and Heidi, you can give that sweet grandbaby a great big hug from Aunt Carol :)

Wow! Great job on both challenges! I saw the split coast challenge this morning and thought it was a great sketch, but never found the time to give it a try...after seeing your great card, I might give it a try tonight...
