Poppies

I made this card for the LSC212 challenge on SCS yesterday, but when I began to upload it, I realized that {again} I hadn't correctly read the directions *sigh*. We were supposed to create a card with subtle colors, and have the main focus a spring flower or bulb - since it was the first day of spring. I suppose the poppy is a summertime flower, and as you can obviously see, I didn't use all colors from the subtle line either. I was happy with the way the card turned out, so I decided to post it here anyway. Any flower reminds me of spring, and all shades of green also remind me of spring as well. I used Tombow and SU! markers to color this image, and used my favorite new toy - the EK fleur de lis punch - for the border.
Wishing everyone a wonderful Saturday and a great spring weekend! It's always nice to have you drop by :)

Unbelievable! Looks just like the poppies that will poke their heads out soon at our home. Your coloring is amazing Carol, and I've got to tell you, you're one heck of a card designer! Awesome!

Love ya!

Oh my GOSH, I just LOOOOOVE what you did with the poppies!! I think I need to put that stamp on my wish list. BEAUTIFUL card!!

{sigh} I'm a little bummed about the Nationwide results. This is the first year we didn't renew our Bristol tickets. Had we renewed I would have actually been THERE for his win. Again....{SIGH!!}

...but hey, I shouldn't really complain, right? He DID win after all. :) :) :)

Happy Race Day to ya!

Carol, I'm just overwhelmed with your coloring. The touch of orange is just fantastic and so exquisite. Girl, you rate right up there with the best of them. Anne Ryan
PS. How's Matties' Mom doing?
