Pocket Change

I saw the OCC challenge today and had to play along. The challenge this week was to use the colors of More Mustard, Not Quite Navy, and Bashful Blue. I needed to make a birthday card for my oldest granddaughter, and I really did some reaching to come up with this card! LOL I drug out a long neglected coluzzle template for pockets and decided to make a pocket card. Then I recalled the template I got from SCS last year for the bikini bottom and the idea hit me to create a pair of jean pockets! Ok, the time I spent to make this card is just insane, BUTttt........it's for my granddaughter so I can justify my time!! LOL She's at the age where she'd rather get money and choose her own gift anyway. For the belt I used a piece of not quite navy, embossed it with a CB folder, then smeared it with Versamark and embossed it with clear EP to get that leathery look. The rest involved doing some faux stitching and sponging the edges with not quite navy. I decided to put the sentiment inside the card because nothing looked right on the front.
Thanks for dropping by and I always appreciate your thoughts!
Have a great weekend and thanks to OCC for the great challenge!

This card is just AMAZING! She'll love it and if I only had the pieces I think I'd need to case it. Wow, I'm speechless!
