CTD34

C It's Wednesday and that means it's time for another Color Throwdown. This week Barbara chose the color combination of Not Quite Navy, Kiwi Kiss, and Blush Blossom. I had to ponder this one for a while, but I finally put it all together. I still feel like the ribbon needs a little adornment, but I couldn't figure out what to put on there without taking away from the flower. The flower was made by using the SU! 5 petal punch. I punched out 2 flowers and layered them after sponging them. Then I punched out a few more flowers, cut the petals apart and glued them behind the layers. After all that, I found 2 perfectly matching paper flowers that I stuck in the center with a removed gem from a brad. The leaves were made from cardstock and run through the crimper. Again I used my fleur de lis EK punch for the border (LOVE that thang) and added a sentiment from the So Many Sayings set. If you've never tried the CTD, be sure to check it out - those ladies always have some wonderful samples on their blog to inspire you. You can find the link above, or on the side bar of our blog.
Spring is in the air - I can almost taste it!
